I’m AJ Walker. I am in Port Macquarie, I answer my own phone, and I build websites for the businesses around me — trades, health practices, shops, the people who actually keep this place running.
What Port Macquarie actually runs on
Port Macquarie–Hastings is a shire of about 86,700 people with a bit over twelve thousand registered businesses in it, and the three biggest employers here are health care, retail and construction. That is the shape of the place — practices, shops and trades. Most of them are one person, or one person and a couple of hands.
Which means most businesses here do not need a twenty-page website. They need three things. A phone number a customer can find one-handed, on a mobile, in the car park at Settlement City. A plain answer to “do you do this, and roughly what does it cost”. And a form that actually reaches a human being.
That is the website I build.
No client logos on this page, and that is deliberate. Walker Works is new. I would rather say so than fill the page with stock photos and testimonials I wrote myself. The exact build and the exact price are below instead.

What the three pages would actually say
Say you run an allied health practice off Lake Road — physio, podiatry, remedial massage. Health care is the biggest employer in this shire, so you are not short of neighbours doing the same thing. Here is the whole site.
Home. What you treat, where you are, whether you take EPC referrals and health funds, how soon someone can get in, and the number. Above the fold, no scrolling.
Services. One short honest paragraph per treatment. Not a copied clinical description — what it is for, what a first appointment is like, what it costs.
Our Work. Where practices usually put fake testimonials. Yours would carry your qualifications, your registration, how long you have been in Port Macquarie, and the parking. That converts better than five stars nobody believes.
Your domain goes in your name, against your ABN, from day one. Not mine. If you ever want someone else to look after the site, you take the domain and go — you do not have to ask me, and you do not have to buy it back.
