Guide
Do you still need a website if you have social media?
It is a fair question. If customers already find you on Facebook or Instagram, why pay for a website at all? Social media is genuinely useful, but it answers a different job to a website, and treating one as a replacement for the other quietly leaves work on the table.
What social media can't do
On a social platform you are a guest. The platform owns the audience, controls the reach, and can change the rules or the algorithm overnight. You can't rank properly in a search, you can't fully control how your business is presented, and a serious enquiry has to happen in a comment or a message thread rather than on your own terms.
What a website anchors
A website is the one place online you actually own and control. It is what shows up when someone searches your name, it holds your full story, your services and your proof, and it turns interest into a real enquiry. Social media is best used to point people back to it, not to replace it.
The anchor, built to own
Walker Works builds the owned site that anchors everything else: fast, mobile-first, yours outright, so your social following has somewhere solid to land.
